Have you seen Daniel Radcliffe's (the gorgeous hunk that starred as the sweet & innocent young wizard in the movie Harry Potter? Who doesn't know him anyway?) new publicity photos for the play Equus? Whoa, stunning. And take note of that yummy six-pack. I'm totally gobsmacked! (Yes! WORD FOR THE DAY! Translation: Amazed) And he's not just showing some skin...he'll actually be naked for the play (and he'll have a love scene too). Removing his invisibility cloak has really stopped the world's revolution.
Hay, look how he hurried to be a man so that he can catch up with me! Haha...honey, you don't really need to work out too much and get six pack to get my attention, really. You've got me at "I am a wizard?!"...

Anyway, not everyone's happy about it (I'm a bit unhappy too because some other girls are gonna feast their eyes on my man's buff bod - not to mention the bulk of nasty gays who'd like a piece of the action). No seriously, parents are actually planning NOT to let their kids watch the fifth movie installment of the Harry Potter series. And some critiques believe that Dan has somehow tarnished Harry Potter, making him unfit for the character now that he's already shown the world everything he's got. Some even say that they've already lost all the respect that they've got for him. Darn, I'd kill to be in Joanna Christie's (Dan's leading lady) shoes. Haha. *evil laugh*

But optimistics say that he's a grown up now, and they believe it's about time Mr. Potter takes out his magic wand. And Dan believes it's a way to show people that he's not just Harry Potter but a very versatile actor that can take on any role.
My opinion: well, it's not really wrong of him to move out of Harry Potter's shadow. Yes, he can act, he's versatile, and he's grown up now...and it's his prerogative to show the world what he's got. But the thing is, the Harry Potter installments aren't finished yet; his Harry Potter character might be dragged in this controversy. I mean, the main market of the Harry Potter series are kids and what'll happen if these kids weren't allowed by their parents to watch the movie?! It'll be a big loss. I think it could've been more appropriate if he had done this after the seventh book was shown on the big screen.
And I think he's in a (bit) hurry to be a real hunk. Dan, you're still 17, you ain't even legal to enter bars & clubs.
But who knows? Positive or negative publicity is STILL publicity. The controversy might fuel more money into Warner Bros. & J.K.Rowling's bank accounts.

Philippine Politics really suck. I mean, this is probably the only country where actors & actresses (and "whoevers") are free to cross carreer boundaries even if they aren't really qualified for the other job. And lots of them have actually confirmed that they're running for the 2007 May elections. Darn it, we'll have to deal with additional "Eraps", "Lito Lapids" and "Bong Revillas" in the administrative offices. You know what I mean.

And our so-called "hero" Manny Pacquiao has also expressed his intentions in entering Politics. Darn, he's a true hero inside the boxing ring but I don't think he'll be one in politics. C'mon, Manny, mag-boxing ka na lang. Dun sa field na yon kita iniidolo. He can't even finish an English sentence "fluently" & without grammatical errors. Imagine him delivering a SONA. Woohoo!

I'm not saying that all of them are just airheads, really. But please, people, do things that you're only qualified to do. Ethics of competence. Ang magsasaka ay magsasaka, ang mangingisda ay mangingisda. (Darn, I'm already inventing my own "salawikainS" in here...)
Too bad I haven't registered for May 2007 elections. And the roster of "wise voters" was short by one...
...so if you'll vote this May, make sure you'll vote not for "politicians" but for people who are "real servers of the country" - those who FEAR GOD, are COMPETENT & QUALIFIED to do the job, have PURE INTENTIONS, etcetera, etcetera. By the way, do they still exist?!
