From a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Degree Holder into a Thomasian Certified Public Accountant!!!
(talo pa natin si Ate Shawie, wala pa siyang Bachelor's Degree! Hohoho...)
Today, October 22, 2007, is the day when I mutated into a mutant (redundant?). Sabi nga ni Sir Jack, "Spiderman ka na!". And I'm very happy for my batchmates too. UST's passing rate is 86% (and if yung mga first timers lang eh 89% pa! Woohoo!) and certainly, medyo napahiya yung isang professor-slash-reviewer na nagsabing "Itong batch na ito? Siguro mataas na yung 60% passing rate sa kanila...". Anyway, thanks for that statement, SIR, we have used that to strive harder -- and we proved you wrong.
I dunno what to say! Hee hee! Disoriented pa ako, and I still can't believe the blissful events that have taken place. Anyway, congratulations to Genghis Grospe for grabbing the sixth spot in the Top Ten CPA Board Passers. Galing mo, Geng! Anyway, hindi man taga-USTe ang nag-top eh ok lang, marami naman tayong naging CPA! Woohoo!
Congratulations rin sa iba pang new CPAs who graduated from other universities/colleges!!!
Thomasians have the LAST LAUGH!!!
To my batchmates:
Finally, we have earned the fruits of our labor -- kept ourselves awake during sleepless nights, survived the anxious moments, endured the no-social-life status, etcetera, etcetera. We all deserve this and I'm sooo darn happy for us. Unfortunately, some didn't make it. I believe God's answer is to them is not a "NO" but a "NOT YET". And for us, new CPAs, it is a new beginning. Let's go out and show the world what Thomasian CPAs are made of!
And the bigger reward aside from passing the CPA Boards is establishing CLOSER ties with our family, friends, and of course, GOD, who never left us during the times that we needed them. He is the reason, I believe, why we passed -- not just because we knew how to solve those long auditing problems, or we knew when or when not-to-tax corporations, or how to compute for goodwill or income from acquisition. Without Him, this victory would have not been possible, and we must praise Him with all our might.
Truly, WITH GOD, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.
To God be the glory!!!
Signing out,
Maria Socorro Azaña Ty, C.P.A.
P.S. Considered advertising/solicitation na ba yan? Naku wala pa nga akong lisensya baka ma-revoke na! Hehehe
