My so-called "lakad-papeles" day. ♥
Woke up at around 7 AM. Left the house at 8:30 AM (tagal ha...). Decided to wear something "gusgusin" so that I won't attract unwanted attention (unwanted attention means catching the eyes of scrupulous people like hold-up-pers, pick-pockets, and perverts). Haha you know how rich Manila is of such aforementioned treasures (of course, dripping with sarcasm) LOL.
8:30 AM. Rode the FX from Deparo to Blumentritt. I used to take this route when I was still in college, and if memory serves me right, the fare back then was just PhP35. When the driver asked for my fare I gave him PhP50 and there's no change. Damn! And the traffic jam was WORSE! I arrived at Blumentritt at around 10:00 AM!
10:00 AM. The jeepney ride from Blumentritt to Morayta. Almost, if not all, of the passengers are UST students. Damn, I felt soooo old. And they kept on looking at me in a weird fashion, maybe because I'm gusgusin they thought I am a hold-up-per or something. Haha
10:30 AM. Finally arrived at PRC. Good thing the line was not that long, maybe there are only 10 people in the PRC ID Renewal queue.
Had a few laughs featuring the ubiquitous paste. Hihi.
But we can't blame people, right? Whenever we go to PRC, we remember to bring our pictures with name tags (ala mugshots), application forms, black ball pens, or even a Mongol #2 pencil.
But we ALWAYS FORGET to bring glue/paste.
Yours Truly = Guilty. My first solution was to find some other person who's currently using his/her glue and I will muster all the courage and kapal-ng-mukha that I have and will ask him/her if I can use his/her glue/paste.

Looked around for quite sometime but I was not successful.
So rather than waste more time, I decided to go to that small tindahan inside PRC and bought a small tube of paste for 3 friggin' pesos.
Then the first encounter came. I've just finished pasting my picture on the application form when...
Girl: Ah miss, pwedeng makahingi ng paste? *medyo may angas factor at parang nagmamadali so medyo na-imbyerna mode naman ako*
Me: *almost said in Vice Ganda mode "Ay Ate 3 pesos lang ito pwedeng bumili kesa manghingi" but thought better of it; 3 pesos na lang ipagdadamot ko pa sa kapwa ko and the pair looked like newbies* Ah sige *hands them the paste*
Girl: Thank you...
And another encounter at the queue...
Guy: Miss, paano mo nadikit yan? (referring to my photo that was already pasted on my PRC ID Renewal form)
Me: *dumbfounded with the question, and almost answered in Vice Ganda Mode"Ay Kuya, malamang dinikit ko using glue/paste! Alangan namang dinilaan ko" but thought better of it* Ah...pi-naste ko *much better*

Guy: *scrambles to find/buy paste*
Me: *perhaps an angel started nigging at my conscience* Ay eto, may paste ako
Guy: *takes my paste* Thanks!
Sayang. Wasn't able to check out the guy if he's cute or not (landi factor). Ewan ko ba, I have this habit of not looking at people in the eye (specifically strangers) whenever I talk to them. Perhaps I'm afraid I'd be confounded (as per JK Rowling's terms) or hypnotized. Modus Operandi. Hihi
Somehow felt better about myself because I was able to tame my sungit factor. Hoho. Improving!
But damn, my sungit factor resurfaced when I saw the amount that I was going to pay: 600 PhP plus 30 PhP surcharge! TAE, 3 months pa lang expired ang lisensya ko pero ganito na kamahal!
Oh well, no use in complaining and ranting and spouting out expletives; the amount that I have to pay won't change. So there, goodby 630.00 (ngayon pang on-hold ang sweldo ko't tag-hirap ako).

Surprise! PRC Cardholders already have the option to have their cards delivered to their homes! Para hindi na kailangang mag-leave at mamasahe papuntang PRC! 80Php for Metro Manila is reasonable, as compared to the 100+ pesos that I will spend if I will go back to PRC again.
Walked from PRC to UST España. Spell Exercise.
11:00 AM. ♥ UST ♥

Felt soooo young (due to endless reminiscing) and at the same time felt soooo old too (because they're all students and I'm an alumna already).
Don't know what happened but I was soooo Vice Ganda that day. Haha!
So yon. Went straight to the Registrar's Office inside Main Building because it's almost lunchtime, and I don't want to wait until 1PM because I'd still have to go to the NBI Clearance Renewal center. Paid 65.00 for it, and the guy in the Registrar's Office told me to claim it immediately the next day, else they're just going to throw it away and I have to repeat the process all over again and I have to pay 65.00 again. Wooh. Another half-day leave. Looked around for some UST goodies but the sun is scorching and I'm lethargic that day already. Haha

The UST Main Building Corridor
From UST - LRT - MRT - Park Square One
After lunch, went to Park Square One for the NBI Clearance Renewal. I was actually bracing myself for the long lines and when I went there, there was none. And the process didn't even take 5 minutes, I swear! Paid PhP115.00, then someone took my picture (which looked really hideous, WTH NBI Clerance pictures just suck bigtime), and then the same printed my NBI Clearance and voila! finished. Ow and the right thumbark thingy was fast too. Haha!
Thank God I was able to accomplish all of these in just one day!
March 25, 2011, Friday
Half-day leave. Medyo nasita pa ko ng new boss ko dahil panay na raw ang absent ko, hindi na raw talaga mapigilan. Hehe. Went to UST to claim it. At nakakatawa ang Certified TOR!
A requirement for claiming the Certified TOR is to bring a photocopy of your Original Transcript of Records. So of course, I submitted one. And to my surprise, the Certified TOR is actually the same, photocopied TOR that I've submitted to them plus a dry seal and signature of the Registrar. Boohoo.

To take the steam off, I decided to look around in search of UST goodies. Others are way too pricey. Some are cheap but the quality is craptastic. And I only found one worthy of buying: the UST lanyard (for 120 PhP).

Go USTe!
(my first lanyard. LOSER much?!) Finally, almost finished with my pre-employment requirements. The only thing I'll have to worry about, aside from my budget, is my BIR Form 1905 that has to be sealed by Bulacan RDO 025.
Good Riddance!
